I am developing two community monarch waystations in Southeast Tennessee. Each site is in design and planning, with phased planting for season-long nectar and resilient habitat. Join me to help turn these spaces into living classrooms.

kilbride nature sanctuary

Goal: 

  • Establish a resilient native meadow and monarch corridor that supports eggs, caterpillars, and migrating adults

Partners:

  • Kilbride Site Stewards
  • Southeaster Grasslands Institute (SGI)
  • Tennessee Valley Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association (NABA)

Status:

  • site prep underway, winter seeding window planned for December/January

  • Native Milkweeds
  • A diverse variety of native season-long nectar plants
  • Native Grasses

  • Design and planning underway with phased planting planned for season-long bloom

  • Native milkweeds, nectar plants, and grasses for season-long blooms.
  • Visitor educational signage and workshops
  • Family-friendly learning
