The Crabtree Farms Monarch Waystation Project is a high-visibility habitat initiative designed to welcome monarch butterflies and educate visitors about their vital role in our ecosystem. We are collaborating with the farm’s staff and volunteers, as well as the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County, to design and implement a garden featuring native milkweeds, nectar plants, and grasses that will bloom from spring through fall. With interpretive signage, family-friendly workshops, and hands-on planting opportunities, this waystation will serve as both a sanctuary for pollinators and an accessible learning space for the local community. Enrollment in volunteer workdays and ongoing site stewardship helps ensure the waystation remains vibrant, educational, and beneficial for generations of butterflies and people alike.
